An organic overview of Eigen Technologies’ brand refresh and visual storytelling.

This is a retrospective of the decisions, tools and applications that shaped Eigen Technologies’ refreshed visual language. It is a living document: a record of the work as the brand moved from a digital starting point into the wider organisation.

The opportunity

Eigen had launched a new website in October 2021. That created an opportunity to extend the ideas behind the digital experience into the foundations of the identity itself: a system that could be recognised quickly, adapted confidently and used by more people across the company.

The work focused on the space between a brand strategy and the everyday moments where a brand is experienced — presentations, documents, digital products, events and internal tools.

Setting up the foundations

The refresh began with four practical decisions:

  • Improve accessibility on high-resolution screens.
  • Support the new digital visual hierarchy with a clearer system of type, colour and composition.
  • Give the wider organisation a recognisable tone of voice without losing continuity.
  • Build a flexible identity that could support new applications over time.

The Brand Hub

Brand guidelines only become useful when people can find, understand and apply them. The Eigen Brand Hub turned the identity into a shared resource: a place for new joiners, designers, internal teams, media, investors, clients and partners to access the rules and materials behind the brand.

Creative Services

Creative Services made the system operational. It gave teams a clear route into design and content support, while keeping the brand team close to the business processes and conversations where communication is shaped.

Eigen Annual Summit 2022

The annual summit brought the system into a shared physical moment. A set of illustrated city stamps, event graphics and apparel created a flexible visual world for teams joining from London, Lisbon and New York.
